Background

I’ve never learned how to pick up a girl. I’ve spent my life stumbling into them in awkward ways. I leave it to the hands of the universe and hope luckily I will crash into a girl.

I think it’s a function of our society. We don’t have rules to dating. We base it off what we see in movies, what our peers are doing, but don’t really give it any thought. Schools teach us about amerigo vespucci, how to calculate the area of a right triangle, and an occasional lesson on how abstinence is the only way to avoid STDs. Our parents aren’t much help either. I’m not blaming them here, I doubt my dad really knows how to pick up a girl other than waiting for the universe to put two people together.

So here’s where the tadpoled project comes in. It’s about becoming a better man and approaching women in a respectful way. It’s about gaining the social skills to show that attractive girl who you really are.

Why tadpoled?

It comes from the expression ‘tadpoling’, refering to the act of older women dating younger men.  The site really has nothing to do with that, I just like the name.

Guidelines

I’ve come up with a few simple rules that allow me to maintain some ahimsa.

  1. Practice non-harming
  2. Sleep with no one
  3. Be honest
  4. Do not use anyone
  5. Leave people better than you found them

Goals

  1. Develop better social skills when interacting with the opposite sex
  2. Procure a long term relationship
  3. Offer my advice to those who want it
