The good
When you join the pickup community, suddenly you have a social network. You wake up one day and never have a lack of entertainment. Someone is always checking something out or if you are interested in something chances are you’ll have a bunch of curious PUAs that will check it out too.
The communication between men is unreal. I’ve never had this many male friends who openly talk about their feelings and insecurities. It’s regular to hear a PUA say “This is what I’m working on, this is what I’m feeling when it happens” and other PUAs jump in with friendly advice.
Everyone has a goal. They are all doing something and it extends beyond picking up women. When you realize you can apply these skills to other areas of your life, the world opens up to you. You arm your self with many tools such as confidence, health, image, communication etc.
The bad
It’s easy to become desensitized. You talk to so many people in a night you start to train yourself to throw people away. You meet a girl and you don’t really care if you ever talk to her again.
A lot of focus is on having meaningless sex with multiple women. The community, in general, does not deal with developing emotional bonds with women. Sure there are people who advocate relationships, but as a whole, you have a lot of “fuck buddies”, MLTR (multiple long term relationships), and lay reports. It’s embarrassing to see the way a PUA’s eyes light up when he hears another PUA talking about having casual sex. (that last comment was bullshit and insulting)

I agree with alot of what you’re saying. but i also think that it is all what you make of it. i’ve learned alot from the community but still choose to focus what i’ve learned on seducing the one girl i want. but it is comforting to know that if i don’t get her, there are plenty of HB10s waiting to be taken
