“Surefire Attraction Secrets” is a 4 CD set by pickup 101. Each CD is devoted to a unique topic. I love this. They have boiled down the basics to 4 key areas allowing you to digest the information and go out and use it right away. In attraction, it’s so easy to get bombarded by information and not be able to remember it all. With the CDs you can study one subject hard, and go out and put it to use.
The CDs all follow the same general format. Track 1 begins with Craig, the host, introducing the master topic. He then introduces 1 or 2 instructors, 1 or 2 recent workshop students, and finally sensei Lance Mason, the head honcho. Following the introductions are 5-8 tracks on succinct sub topics. The CD closes with a small pitch about how they apply these materials at there workshops.
Craig does a great job of moderating the talks. Each track starts by him pulling the conversation back in focus. It’s great because after a few minutes of absorbing massive amounts of information your mind wanders. When he chimes in you are automatically triggered to start paying attention again. Lance delivers most of the information, the ancillary instructors chime in with tips and refreshing view points, and the recent students give an interesting prospective when asked.
Having the information in an audio format is a nice way to keep the knowledge at hand. You can listen to the CD while you drive to the club for a quick refresher. I ripped them to mp3 and listened while I was doing other work.
Also included is a free DVD, Intro to pickup 101. The DVD is a sales pitch for their seminars with a couple tips mixed in. Although I do think it is important to see what Lance looks like and how his body language pairs with his communication on the CD. I had listened to one of his tele-seminars before, watched him on a cliffs list DVD, then listened to the seminar again, and had a lot clearer image of the message.
Overall you’re getting about 90% good content with about 10% sales. I think that ratio is just enough to say “hey, these are services available if you want to learn more about this,” without getting in the way of the information.
I’ll be reviewing the 4 CDs individually with a few tips from each.
