My blog has been quiet lately with post ideas stirring in my mind. I’ve been busy moving webservers, looked for a new apartment, switching jobs, and most of all entertaining my delightful new girlfriend. I promise to fill everyone in on this shortly. However, there have been some recent events that demanded my blogging attention. Is the universe sending me some kind of hint?
A few weeks ago I talked to a reporter from the westword, a hip paper here in Denver. She had been interviewing Matt, the founder of the Denver PUA lair, doing a story on him, his seduction business, and his new book. Somehow she found my blog and asked Matt for my contact info. I agreed to chat with her and had a delightful time sharing my views of pickup. BTW, I think she did a great job of representing me in the article. Much respect Jessica!
Yesterday the article came out on the front page. I got a shout out from one of my buddies and checked out the article online.
Last night while on a double date, we stopped by one of my favorite bars to grab a drink. As I approached my stomach dropped. The front page plastered on the front door. Matt and his crew’s pictures hung there under big crayon letters “BANNED!!”
Nervously I entered the bar.
One of my lady friends asked about the sign on the door and why they were banned. The bar is mentioned in the article and a few of the female employees took offense. The bartender went on to explain how Matt knows secrets to turn women on and make women feel comfortable being touched. Not really knowing what to do, I jokingly gave him a Lance Mason pseudo push as I stepped back.
He quickly glanced at me and said “Hey! You’re one of them aren’t you?”
I laughed in the hopes it was a joke. It was. We finished our drinks. I hesitantly handed him my credit card. My name is in the article. He swipes it, hands it back, I leave a tip and bounce. On my way out the door I text my crew and snap a picture for you all.
Yup, that’s me on the right. Apparently I’ve been banned from The Front Porch. I guess we’ll just see.
Personally I think that this article is nothing but good for us “Pickup Artists”. Although people knowing I’m a PUA will make some things difficult, I’ve become pretty good at turning those objections around. People (especially women) have very negative associations about what a PUA is. All I have to do is show that I don’t fit their preconceptions, ground them into my reality and I’m in.
I guarantee I won’t need fancy openers while those pictures are up. My bet is that this will turbocharge my game with anyone who has read the article or seen the pictures.
See, being a PUA is high value. Not in the logical, AFC based world that most people live in, but in the emotion rich, social proof driven world that women live in. Being the guy that women love is attractive.
Sure some women will hate it, and I might even lose the interest of some attractive acquaintances. But the benefits will far outweigh the drawbacks. We’re talking about the next level of game here folks: where your face is in the newspaper, on TV, and in the window at the bar.
So I’m going to walk into Front Porch tonight in my best PUA form: I’ll walk in, smile, probably give the girl at the door some shit about not needing to check my ID, shake hands with the owner, collect some free drinks at the bar and waltz into the most attractive set I see.
That’s just my .02, we’ll see if its worth that much.

Luckily, I was able to nail a few hired guns at one of my favorite clubs (before it went downhill) before the D Magazine came out about me and how I was picking up girls there as well as the hired guns.
